The EU has introduced a regulation- the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to strengthen data protection for all within the European Union. GDPR is good news for customers. It makes it easier for you to access your personal information and control how it is used.

3. Why does the HR suite collect and use my personal information?

4. What is a Privacy Policy?
A Privacy Policy is a document that every organisation who processes personal information must produce and make available. It gives detailed, but simple, explanations of how the HR Suite manages your personal information.

5. What are some of the key changes that I will see as a customer?
The GDPR will give you greater control over your personal information by setting out additional and more clearly defined privacy rights, which you can exercise.

Rights for customers under the GDPR include:
The right to access personal information and organisation holds on you
The right to have inaccuracies corrected
The right to have information erased
The right to object, including in relation to direct marketing
To restrict processing
The right to have your personal information sent directly yourself or another organisation

6. Does the HR Suite share my personal information?
We sometimes need to share your personal information with trusted third parties who preform important functions for us. For example, we use third parties to help us address fraud, security or technical issues. The HR suite is also required to co-operate by law or otherwise through a legal process with Irish, EU regulatory or enforcement bodies. 7. How secure and confidential is my personal information?
We use a variety of security technologies and procedure to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access use or disclosure. The security of your personal information is exceptionally important to us and we put in a huge effort into protecting it. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we do this in more detail.

8. For how long does the HR Suite retain my personal information?
This depends on the nature of the information we hold and the purposes for which it is processed. Sometimes there are statutory obligations (imposed on us by law). Your Personal Data is held on secure servers which are hosted by ourselves for up to 7 years (under the Finance Acts, it is required to retain all financial information and supporting documentation for a period of 7 years).

In summary the changes are as follows; improved clarity- it's easier to understand what data we collect, how it is processed and the controls that you have; an expanded cookie policy; and material to address new GDPR laws.

Your privacy is a top priority and we remain completely committed to you. There will be no change to how you use the products and services you hold with us, but you will have significantly strengthened rights.
